Tips for Tenants
Bring your paperwork
Be prepared. To get a competitive edge over other applicants, bring the following when you meet with the Property Manager a completed rental application; written references from previous rental companies, employers, and colleagues; and a current copy of your credit report.

Review the Lease
Carefully review all of the conditions of the tenancy before you sign on the dotted line. Your lease or rental agreement may contain a provision that you find unacceptable - for example, restrictions on guests, pets, design alterations, or running a home business.
Report Maintenance Issues Early
Stay proactive with repairs by notifying your landlord about any maintenance concerns as soon as they arise. Addressing minor issues early can prevent larger, costly problems in the future.
Know Your Rights as a Tenant
It's important to be familiar with your local tenant rights, including laws about rent increases, privacy, and eviction. Being informed will help you navigate any potential disputes.
Maintain Good Communication
Establish a positive relationship with your landlord by communicating clearly and professionally. Always put requests or concerns in writing for proper documentation.
